Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to browse and buy from Persian Knots, whether they use a mouse, a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or voice control.

Our aim

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA [[CLIENT TO CONFIRM]]. We have not yet had the site audited by an independent specialist, so we cannot claim full conformance [[CLIENT TO CONFIRM]].

What we do

We build to the points below. They have not yet been checked by an independent specialist [[CLIENT TO CONFIRM]].

• Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and the focus outline is always visible.
• Pages use headings, landmarks and labelled form fields, so screen readers can move through them.
• Text and controls are designed to meet AA colour contrast.
• Rug photographs have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Sizes are shown in words and numbers, in feet, centimetres or metres as you choose.
• Motion is limited to the opening weave and small responses to what you do, and it is reduced or removed when your device is set to reduce motion.
• The layout adapts to phones and to zoomed text.

What is not yet right

• Some rug photographs have short descriptions that could say more about pattern and colour.
• The payment page belongs to PayGlocal, our payment provider, and we do not control its accessibility.
• PDF or image files sent to us, such as wholesale drawings, are not checked.
