These terms apply when you use persianknots.com or buy from it. Please read them with our shipping, returns, cancellation, payments, custom and wholesale orders, privacy and cookie policies, which form part of them. By placing an order you agree to them.

Most of our rugs are made by hand, and no two are exactly alike. We describe and photograph each one as accurately as we can, but please allow for:
Where a page shows a "Representative image", it shows the technique or a room setting, not the rug you will receive. We name each rug's technique, materials and country of origin. "Persian" describes a design tradition; where a Persian-design rug was woven outside Iran, we say so.
Prices are shown in Indian rupees or US dollars. Rupee prices include GST. Dollar prices are for delivery outside India, exclude Indian GST, and do not include import duties or taxes in your country, which you pay on delivery. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay.
We check prices carefully. If a rug is listed at an obviously wrong price, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, and we will tell you why.
Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract between us is made when your payment, or your cash on delivery advance, is confirmed and we send the order confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order, with a full refund, if a rug is no longer available, if we cannot deliver to the address, if the payment cannot be verified, or if we suspect fraud.
Unpaid orders are held for 60 minutes and then released. You may buy up to 10 of each size in one order; orders of 1,500 m² or more are handled by our wholesale team on separate terms.
Payment is taken by PayGlocal on its secure payment page, in the currency set by your delivery address. Cash on delivery, with a 25% advance paid online, is available for eligible orders in India up to ₹1,00,000 [[CLIENT TO CONFIRM]]. The payments policy sets out the methods and the cash on delivery terms, including what happens if a delivery is refused.
Delivery times are estimates. Risk in the rug passes to you on delivery, and ownership passes when we have received full payment. International orders are delivered with duties unpaid (DAP), and you are the importer. Rugs woven in Iran cannot be sent to the United States. See the shipping policy.
You can cancel before dispatch for a full refund, and return most rugs within 14 days of delivery [[CLIENT TO CONFIRM]], as set out in the returns policy. This does not affect your statutory rights.
You may use this website to browse and buy for yourself or your business. Please do not copy its content or images for commercial use, try to break its security, overload it, or use automated tools to collect data from it. Some photographs on the site belong to third parties and are used under their licences; see the image credits.
If you create an account, keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has used it. We may suspend accounts used to break these terms.
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care, up to the price you paid for the order concerned [[CLIENT TO CONFIRM]]. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses on retail orders, or for delays caused by events outside our control, such as strikes, natural disasters or customs holds. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
If something has gone wrong, please contact us first; we reply within one business day. In line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, our grievance officer is [[CLIENT TO CONFIRM]] (name), reachable at hello@persianknots.com. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at [[CLIENT TO CONFIRM]] (city) have jurisdiction. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country.
We may update these terms. The version that applies to an order is the one shown on the website when you placed it.
