Modern Line Runner has large terracotta and charcoal circles linked by fine lines on an ivory ground, like a drawing in pen and wash. It is hand-tufted in wool with a medium pile that is soft underfoot, a warmer choice than a flatweave for a hallway where you walk barefoot. The circles give a long corridor a rhythm without the formality of a traditional border. It suits a modern hallway, a landing or the side of a bed, and it comes in 2½ × 8, 2½ × 10 and 2½ × 12 ft.
Tufted in Bhadohi on a long frame built for runners. The circles are tufted first at a slightly higher pile, then the ivory ground is filled in around them, and finally the fine lines are carved with electric shears so that each shape separates cleanly from the next.

Crafted by the weavers of Bhadohi
Bhadohi and neighbouring Mirzapur, on the Ganges plain between Varanasi and Prayagraj, form India's largest hand-knotting region, and the Bhadohi hand-made carpet carries a geographical indication. Most rugs are knotted in weaving families' homes on upright looms, then brought to town to be washed, clipped and finished.
