Heritage Border is a traditional Persian layout: an indigo field with a small repeating flower pattern inside a wide ivory and slate-grey border, woven by machine in polypropylene. It is stain-resistant, easy to clean and holds its colour in sun, which is why it is one of the most-ordered rugs in the collection. The low, tight pile slides easily under chairs and works well in homes with children and pets. It suits a dining room, a family living room or a rented flat. Sizes run from 4 × 6 ft to 8 × 10 ft, plus a 2½ × 8 ft runner.
Made in Turkey on power looms. The polypropylene yarn is solution-dyed, meaning the colour is added to the polymer before it is spun, so it runs right through each fibre. That is why the rug does not fade in sun and can be cleaned with water and a little mild soap.
